Harrison Wipes Acquires Ecotech in Pre-Pack Administration Deal

Harrison Wipes, an Essex-based company specializing in cleaning products, has acquired Coventry-based Ecotech. The acquisition was executed as part of a pre-pack administration arrangement finalized by Robert Dymond and Joanne Hammond from Begbies Traynor. The deal effectively saves all 27 jobs at Ecotech, a company known for making over 200 million wipes annually and supplying them to sectors like the NHS, industrial operators, and contract cleaning firms. Ecotech had faced financial strains due to escalating rent costs. The administration process was facilitated with legal advice from Irwin Mitchell’s restructuring and insolvency team, including Tom Paton, Curtis Blackham, and Rachel Piper, who worked closely with Begbies Traynor. Stephen Harrison of Harrison Wipes highlighted this acquisition as a pivotal growth strategy, adding that Ecotech’s products are a complementary fit for their existing portfolio.
