Gruppo Sapori Artigianali Acquires 33% Stake in Panfuwa

Gruppo Sapori Artigianali, a prominent retail and hospitality group based in Milan, has expanded its portfolio by acquiring a 33% stake in Panfuwa, a Milanese startup known for its fluffy Japanese pancakes. This strategic investment is expected to bolster Panfuwa's growth not only through financial support but also by leveraging Gruppo Sapori Artigianali's extensive retail expertise. The deal was facilitated with advisory support from CDR Tax & Legal. Gruppo Sapori Artigianali operates a widespread retail network under the ODStore brand across Italy and Europe, and is also involved in the restaurant and hospitality sectors, with notable brands such as KFC under its umbrella in Milan and Lombardy. Panfuwa, on the other hand, is a growing player in the niche market of Japanese pancakes, currently operating five outlets with plans for further expansion.
