In a strategic move to bolster its real estate foothold across Spain, Greystar has successfully acquired a prime residential plot from Bermejo & Williamson Real Estate (BWRE) in Boadilla del Monte, a strategic suburb of Madrid. This acquisition, which forms part of Greystar's expansion of its flexible living platform, aims to construct 458 fully furnished rental residences under the Be Casa brand. With all city council permits in place, the development will cater to the burgeoning urban demand for high-quality, flexible living spaces, offering a mix of studios, as well as one- and two-bedroom flats. This initiative is supported by a substantial €56.1 million construction loan from Eldridge Real Estate Credit, with project completion anticipated by 2027. Greystar’s advisors on this deal were Jones Day, with a specialized team guided by partners from both London and Madrid. Conversely, BWRE received legal guidance from Dentons. Overall, the project signifies Greystar’s sustained commitment to enhancing its residential rental portfolio in Spain, following its recent market penetration into Barcelona and Bilbao.
