Deal News | Nov 21, 2024 | Legal Community Italy

Green Horse Legal Advisory has played a crucial role in assisting Bnz, a subsidiary of Clean Energy Fund III of Nuveen Infrastructure, in the acquisition of two photovoltaic plants in Sicily developed by the company Greengo. These plants, located in Francofonte (Siracusa) and Lercara Friddi (Palermo), will bring a combined capacity of 127.7 MW to the region. The Francofonte facility is expected to become operational by the end of 2026, offering 90.5 MW of capacity, while Lercara Friddi is slated to start earlier in the first half of that year with 37.2 MW. Green Horse's comprehensive support included initial due diligence, contract negotiation, and preparation of all related project agreements. The legal team behind these efforts comprised several key associates and partners, marking yet another strategic achievement for Bnz. Previously, Green Horse had assisted Bnz on three photovoltaic projects near Viterbo and Montalto di Castro, totaling 135 MW, projected to commence in the third quarter of 2025. The firm continues to remain active in similar projects across the Lazio, Puglia, and Sicily regions.
