Great Gray Group, an independent leader in retirement solutions and the parent company of Great Gray Trust Company, has acquired Retirement Plan Advisory Group (RPAG). The acquisition aims to enhance Great Gray's commitment to accelerating technology innovation and growth within the retirement ecosystem. The transaction was publicly announced in a February 27 press release. Great Gray Group, LLC, also owns Great Gray Trust Company, a prominent provider of trustee and administrative services for Collective Investment Trusts (CITs), which manages over $210 billion across more than 770 funds. Legal advisory firm Ropes & Gray represented Great Gray Group in this transaction. The advisory team from Ropes & Gray included M&A partner Ariel Deckelbaum, IP transactions partner Jordan Altman, executive compensation & employee benefits partner Allie Alperovich, and asset management partner Melissa Bender.
