Grassa Gains EUR 3.6 Million to Revolutionize Grass Protein

Grassa, a company pioneering in grass protein production technology, has successfully raised EUR 3.6 million to further its developments. The funding comes from the Perspectieffonds Gelderland, managed by Oost NL, and existing investors Brightlands Venture Partners and Fransen Gerrits. Grassa's innovative technology processes grass into products like Opened grass and grass juice to extract protein, offering a sustainable alternative to soy and reducing nitrogen emissions. The investment will help scale up this technology, with the aim to show dairy farmers that 50% of protein can be extracted without impacting milk yield. This initiative is part of a broader strategy to promote sustainable food production, address nitrogen emission issues, and strengthen agricultural sustainability.
