Glider Technology, a Blackburn-based firm, has announced its acquisition of Sitedesk, a software tool from Cheshire. This strategic move aims to enhance Glider's information management platform, making it more adept at capturing and managing real-world assets through advanced 3D visualisation capabilities. The acquisition is expected to bolster asset management and operational efficiency, offering clients improved tools for managing their built estates. With a technology that integrates 3D models, reality capture, and BIM data, Sitedesk provides a digital twin solution, aiding estate operators in optimising maintenance and visualising assets. Glider's CEO, Nick Hutchinson, highlighted the acquisition as a step to strengthen the firm's market position and meet the evolving needs of its clients.
