GBSAPRI, an independent Italian company specializing in insurance brokerage and risk management, has signed binding agreements to acquire Sbravati Insurance Broker from the Sbravati family. Sbravati Insurance Broker is a longstanding player in the insurance brokerage sector, with over 50 years of experience and notable expertise in railway risk management. The transaction is part of GBSAPRI’s strategic plan to expand its presence in the Italian market, aiming to become the leading hub for insurance intermediation in Italy. The deal is expected to close between the third and fourth quarter of 2025. GBSAPRI was advised by Chiomenti, a law firm with a multidisciplinary team led by Francesca Villa and Federico Amoroso. Regulatory aspects were managed by Flavia Pagnanelli with assistance from Francesco Sileo and Anna Giulia Piersanti. The sellers, meanwhile, received legal counsel from LCA Studio Legale, with an M&A team led by Benedetto Lonato and Virginia Cella.
