Gaide Finalizes Merger with GSK Yugoria

Gaide has successfully completed its merger with GSK Yugoria, marking a significant consolidation in the Russian insurance sector. In the merger process, Gaide transferred a broad portfolio of insurance contracts, including compulsory insurance like OSAGO, OSOPO, and OSGOP, as well as voluntary insurance products to Yugoria. Throughout the two years leading up to the merger, Gaide focused on enhancing its IT systems and revamping its line of products. This period also saw a notable sevenfold increase in the company's reinsurance capability, expanding to 2 billion rubles from a previous 300 million rubles. Reflecting the strategic consolidation undertaken by Rossium concern and Gaide shareholders, this merger symbolizes the unification of JSC SC Gaide and JSC GSK Yugoria to strengthen their market positions. JSC IC Gaide, based in St. Petersburg and established in 1993, is recognized for its extensive insurance offerings including property, cargo, auto, and financial risk protections, servicing over a million clients through its wide network across Russia.
