Friedel Drees Appointed as Managing Director at ICG, Expanding German Footprint

Intermediate Capital Group (ICG), a global alternative asset manager, has designated Friedel Drees as the new Managing Director within its European Corporate strategy team. This strategic appointment is complemented by the inauguration of ICG's Munich office, solidifying its commitment to the German market and the broader DACH region. Friedel Drees, formerly a Partner and Managing Director at The Carlyle Group, brings extensive experience with a focus on the DACH region. ICG's European Corporate team, comprising 70 professionals across seven offices, targets originating and negotiating bespoke investments in European corporates. The new Munich office is expected to leverage local networks and enhance growth. ICG, listed on the London Stock Exchange and part of the FTSE 100, manages $107bn of assets spanning four asset classes. The firm aims to build long-term partnerships and plans to achieve net-zero operations by 2040.
