National law firm Freeths has strengthened its Planning and Environment Group with the strategic appointment of Cairo Nickolls as Partner, tasked with establishing a new practice in Birmingham. Bringing over 12 years of experience from his prior role at Gowlings, Nickolls' expertise spans across housebuilding, industrial and logistics, and regeneration sectors, serving a diverse clientele including developers, public authorities, and landowners. His role encompasses advisory on planning strategy, S106 agreements, environmental impact assessments, among others. Notably, Cairo has previously led major planning projects, advising companies like Bloor Homes and Bellway Homes, and guiding large industrial and logistics development for Mulberry Commercial Developments. Under the leadership of Paul Brailsford, National Head of Planning and Environment at Freeths, the team aims to establish a premier planning practice in the West Midlands.
