Franklin Electric Announces Acquisition of Barnes de Colombia

Franklin Electric Co., Inc., a leading producer of water and energy systems, has announced the execution of a definitive agreement to acquire Barnes de Colombia S.A., a renowned manufacturer and distributor of industrial and commercial pumps based in Colombia. This acquisition, expected to close by March 1, 2025, aligns with Franklin's long-term strategy of growth and diversification, enhancing their presence and product portfolio in key Latin American markets. Barnes de Colombia possesses a strong market position in Colombia with extensive operations across Latin America, including manufacturing in Mexico, Brazil, and Argentina, and warehouses throughout Central and South America. This strategic move aims to strengthen Franklin's supply chain and customer base in the region. The transaction, still subject to customary closing conditions such as Colombian antitrust clearance, will see Franklin leveraging Barnes' facilities and approximately 400 employees to significantly enhance its operational capability in the region.
