Fontaine Modification Acquires ProBilt Services.

Fontaine Modification, North America's leading provider of post-production services for truck manufacturers, has announced its acquisition of ProBilt Services in Denton, Texas. The acquisition expands Fontaine's modification and upfit capabilities for Peterbilt trucks, marking its third location in Texas alongside its existing facilities in Garland and Laredo. This strategic move follows their 2019 acquisition of another ProBilt operation in Ohio, enhancing Fontaine's presence in the heavy-truck market with a total of 11 modification centers across the U.S. The Denton facility, a 30,000-square-foot site with room for 250 trucks, will continue to offer specialized services including body modification, drivetrain changes, and the installation of clean fuel technologies for heavy-duty trucks. While one of ProBilt's founders, Toney Fitzgerald, is retiring, Fred Toothman will remain to lead the Denton operations, ensuring a smooth transition and the continued delivery of quality and reliable services. Fontaine Modification, part of Marmon Holdings under Berkshire Hathaway, emphasizes the acquisition as a step towards further growth and customer support.
