Fondo Italiano d’Investimento Secures €230M First Close for FOF PEI Tre

Fondo Italiano d’Investimento SGR has completed the first closing of its Fondo di Fondi Private Equity Italia Tre (FOF PEI Tre) at €230 million. The fund aims for a total of €600 million and is part of its initiative, Progetto Economia Reale, launched in 2020 to build a diversified portfolio of private equity funds focused mainly on the Italian market. Cassa Depositi e Prestiti (CDP) is the cornerstone investor, joined by another major institutional backer. The collected resources will accelerate investment activities with an attractive pipeline already under advanced analysis. The strategy includes investing in established fund teams and contributing to the development of new initiatives. FOF PEI Tre is committed to ESG principles and seeks to direct significant resources towards the Italian real economy. The fund is classified as an Article 8 product under EU SFDR regulation.
