EYE2DRIVE Secures €1.5 Million in Funding to Revolutionize Vision Sensor Technology

EYE2DRIVE, an innovative company focused on advanced vision sensor technology, has raised €1.5 million in funding to expand its technological solutions and penetrate new markets. The funding round was led by RoboIT, Italy's National Technology Transfer Hub for Robotics and Industrial Automation, in collaboration with CDP Venture Capital Sgr, Pariter Partners, and the regional co-investment fund Toscana Next. The investment will enhance EYE2DRIVE's team with new specialized roles, advance research and development for improved vision sensors, and expand commercial operations with the aim of finding a strategic partner in the automotive sector and solidifying its presence in the industry. EYE2DRIVE traces its origins to a research project in image sensor design under the leadership of Monica Vatteroni, an electronic engineer with a PhD in Physics, evolving from creating endoscopy sensors to addressing lighting variability challenges. EYE2DRIVE aims to pre-produce a new sensor within 18 months and secure strategic partnerships in autonomous driving and industrial logistics sectors, where its technology shows immense potential. Monica Vatteroni emphasizes the strategic importance of the semiconductor field and aims to inspire more women to join the sector, highlighting a strong female presence in EYE2DRIVE's team.
