Exus Renewables Acquires Cibele Solar Park with Cuatrecasas' Guidance

Cuatrecasas, a prominent law firm in Portugal, has offered its legal advisory services to Exus Renewables for the acquisition of the Cibele solar park. The solar park, located in Rio Maior and Cadaval, Portugal, was purchased from Lightsource BP, which is known for its global leadership in onshore renewable energy projects. The Cibele solar park will add 130 MW of solar power and an extra 100 MW of wind capacity to Exus' growing portfolio of renewable energy projects. The construction of the solar park is expected to begin within a few months, with the goal of being fully operational by 2026. Exus Renewables is expanding its footprint in the Iberian Peninsula with an aim to enhance its 200 MW wind and solar assets, a portion of which is already operational and under construction. The Cuatrecasas team, adept at handling sophisticated renewable energy ventures, was led by Francisco Santos Costa from the corporate and M&A department, supported by associates from both corporate and real estate departments. This transaction serves as a testament to Cuatrecasas' commitment to sustainable initiatives and expertise in managing complex energy projects.
