Etihad Airways Awaits Shareholder Decision on IPO

Etihad Airways CEO, Antonoaldo Neves, has indicated that the decision regarding the Initial Public Offering (IPO) of Etihad Airways rests with its shareholder, ADQ. Speculations are rife that an IPO announcement could be expected shortly. Despite economic challenges including fluctuating oil prices and US tariffs, Etihad is focused on a robust growth strategy, as announced at the Arabian Travel Market conference in Dubai. The airline has a $7 billion investment plan aimed at doubling its fleet size by 2030 to accommodate 30 to 33 million passengers annually. Currently operating with under 100 aircraft, Etihad plans to incrementally add 20 aircraft per year to reach a fleet capacity of 170 by 2030. The airline also continues to invest in enhancing its first and business class offerings, and recently introduced the Airbus A321LR at the conference, targeting improved passenger comfort on its routes.
