Equita Capital Expands Luxury Footwear Holdings with GT Emme Acquisition

EQUITA Smart Capital ELTIF, a private equity fund managed by EQUITA Capital SGR, has expanded its portfolio with the acquisition of GT Emme, a company specializing in the production of insoles and strips for luxury women's footwear. Founded in 2001 and headquartered in Santa Maria a Monte, GT Emme is a strategic investment in EQUITA's effort to create a certified Made in Italy supply chain serving international fashion brands. This acquisition follows previous integrations of production hubs Everyn and Maruska and aims to establish a leading group in contract shoe manufacturing. The deal was partially financed by Anthilia Capital Partners and Green Arrow SGR, underscoring the initiative's financial robustness. GT Emme will continue to be managed by its founder, Graziano Marmugi, who retains a stake in the company alongside other entrepreneurs, while EQUITA remains the majority shareholder. EQUITA's broader strategy is to diversify its investments across promising sectors like women's footwear, molecular diagnostics, and senior living, with the current private equity portfolio generating revenues over 300 million.
