Equinor ASA, a prominent player in the energy sector, has announced a significant change in its Corporate Executive Committee, with an experienced veteran stepping into a pivotal leadership role. Jens Økland, with over 30 years at Equinor, most recently oversaw strategy and commercial solutions in the renewables area and previously held the position of Executive Vice President for the MMP business segment. He takes over from Pl Eitrheim, who is stepping down from the role of Executive Vice President for Renewables. Eitrheim, with a noteworthy 26-year tenure at Equinor, has been instrumental in expanding the company's renewables business, which is increasingly important for Equinor's strategy in the energy transition.
