EPSA Expands into Nordics with Inventura Acquisition

EPSA, a prominent European consulting firm, has strategically expanded into the Nordic region by acquiring Inventura, a well-established Norwegian consultancy specializing in procurement. This acquisition marks EPSA's initial entry into this market segment. Inventura, noted for its proficient team of approximately 130 consultants, is recognized as a leading entity in operational and procurement consultancy in the Nordics. Formed through the merger of Firstventura and Input in 2011, Inventura offers a wide range of advisory services including procurement strategy, spend analysis, and sustainable purchasing, serving both private and public sectors. EPSA's executive committee member, Sherief Abdalla, highlighted the acquisition's potential in solidifying EPSA's standing as a dominant player in procurement consulting across Europe. Claire Leussink-Nies has been appointed the CEO for EPSA's Nordic business, concurrently serving as the CEO for the Netherlands. She emphasized the synergies in culture and strategic visions between the two firms. For Inventura, this collaboration presents an opportunity to elevate its service offering and reach in Norway, as expressed by CEO Trond Slethaug. The backdrop of this acquisition includes a regional trend of international firms acquiring Nordic consultancies, as evidenced by recent activities involving firms like Kearney and Argon & Co.
