EOS ReNewable Infrastructure Fund II Surpasses Target with €293.4M Closing

EOS Investment Management Group (EOS IM), an asset manager specializing in alternative investment funds, has announced the final closing of its flagship energy infrastructure fund, EOS Energy Fund II S.C.A. SICAV-RAIF. The fund surpassed its initial target of €250 million, closing with €293.4 million, indicating strong investor confidence in EOS IM's ability to create value through sustainable and energy transition-focused investments. As a significant initiative within Italy and Europe's renewable energy infrastructure sector, the fund has attracted a diverse group of investors, including pension funds, insurance groups, and institutional fund of funds. This greenfield-focused fund aims to invest exclusively in renewable energy production and storage facilities, focusing on local socio-economic benefits by using local companies and expertise during construction and subsequent operations. Currently, approximately 60% of the fund's capital is already deployed with plans to extend to 80%, investing in a portfolio with a capacity of 630 MW in Italy and Spain. These investments support the annual energy consumption of approximately 420,000 families and prevent over 510,000 tonnes of CO2 emissions per year. Furthermore, the fund has identified strategic opportunities to achieve its ultimate goal of enabling more than 1GW of renewable capacity.
