Ensign Group Expands with Toluca Lake Transitional Care Acquisition

The Ensign Group, Inc. has recently enhanced its portfolio with the acquisition of multiple skilled nursing facilities, including Toluca Lake Transitional Care in North Hollywood, California. The acquisition also involved facilities in Idaho - Ironwood Rehabilitation and Care Center and Lakeside Rehabilitation and Care Center. Notably, the real estate for the California facility will be acquired by Standard Bearer Healthcare REIT, Inc., a subsidiary of Ensign, pending regulatory approval. This move reflects Ensign's strategy to grow operations in one of its most promising markets. As of June 1, 2025, these acquisitions have increased Ensign's portfolio to 347 healthcare operations across 17 states. The transaction underscores Ensign's commitment to acquire both successful and underperforming healthcare businesses in the U.S., aligning with its vision for robust growth and expanded healthcare services.
