Enghouse Expands with Margento Acquisition

Enghouse Systems Limited, a Canadian-based company that offers enterprise software solutions, has announced its acquisition of Margento R&D d.o.o., a Slovenian provider of ticketing and payment solutions for public transport, through a wholly-owned subsidiary. This strategic acquisition aims to bolster Enghouse's fare collection operations across Europe by incorporating Margento's scalable Mobility as a Service (MaaS) platform. The platform is recognized for its seamless deployment capabilities and user-centered transport mobile experience. Margento’s offerings are marketed directly to public transportation agencies, enhancing integration with multimodal transport options. Founded in 2002 and headquartered in Maribor, Slovenia, Margento has developed a comprehensive suite of mobile transaction solutions, pivotal for sectors such as finance, retail, hospitality, marketing, and telecommunications. This move is aligned with Enghouse's dual growth strategy of organic expansion and acquisitions, thus expanding its portfolio in the transport ticketing segment.
