Electiva has announced the acquisition of Clinica Medica, a Glasgow-based clinic, underlining its commitment to expanding its presence in the UK's private healthcare sector. This acquisition marks a notable step forward in Electiva's strategy to enhance its national general healthcare services and online pharmacy offerings, driven by growing consumer demand. The healthcare landscape is transitioning towards more online services, with the share of online pharmacy users in the UK projected to rise from 27% to over 60% by 2028. Electiva's current services focus on hospital-based elective surgeries and health assessments, including hormone replacement therapies. The acquisition of Clinica Medica, which also brings Dr. Awfa Paulina into Electiva as a private General Practitioner, provides a strategic platform for future service expansion.
