DunPort Bolsters European Credit Expansion through Vertis Investment
Deal News | May 28, 2025 | DunPort Capital Management DAC

DunPort Capital Management, a noted private credit manager, has announced a strategic partnership with Vertis Capital Partners, an alternative investment firm focused on private credit and asset-backed finance. As part of this collaboration, Vertis will acquire an initial minority share in DunPort, with potential for increased involvement based on achieving certain milestones. This partnership aims to fortify DunPort's position as a key lender to lower mid-market companies across Europe. Established in 2017, DunPort has already allocated over €1.3 billion to 68 borrowers. The partnership arrives amid DunPort's fundraising efforts for its fourth private credit fund, Willow Corporate Credit DAC, which targets raising €1 billion to enhance its lending platform. DunPort also secured a €200 million cornerstone commitment for this fund in December 2024. Vertis' involvement, along with its affiliate Henry Costa Partners, is expected to elevate institutional fundraising efforts and channel capital from long-term investors into core European markets. As part of this partnership, several key executives are joining DunPort’s board, further strengthening its governance and strategic direction. Financial specifics of the deal remain undisclosed, but advisors for both parties were announced.
