Diversified Energy Partners with Carlyle for $2B Energy Investment

Diversified Energy Company PLC, a publicly traded natural gas and liquids production company, and The Carlyle Group, a global investment firm, have announced a strategic partnership to invest in existing proved developed producing natural gas and oil assets in the United States, totaling up to $2 billion. Carlyle, with its deep expertise in asset-backed finance, will collaborate with Diversified, which will operate and service the acquisitions. This partnership forms during an attractive acquisition market, allowing Diversified to enhance its capital access and pursue strategic acquisitions. The collaboration aims to provide sustainable cash flow, enhance operational scale, and maintain energy security. Carlyle intends to securitize these assets, leveraging its asset-backed finance team to unlock long-term financing.
