Talde Private Equity, a prominent Spanish private equity firm, has acquired a majority stake in Discarlux, a leading company in the premium beef segment, particularly within the Horeca channel. This acquisition aims to bolster Discarlux's growth and consolidate its leadership in the European premium beef market. The founding partners, Jose Portas and Carlos Ronda, will remain active shareholders and continue to lead the company. Discarlux, known for its high standards and exceptional customer service, operates with modernized facilities near Mercamadrid. Recent expansions include a new warehouse with state-of-the-art maturing rooms and a production plant for diverse beef products. This acquisition marks the fifth transaction under Talde’s Capital Crecimiento II fund, which focuses on high-growth potential firms with differentiating market positions.
