Directors Company Completes Bitnine Acquisition to Boost AI

Directors Company, a South Korean firm specializing in advertising and branding, announced the completion of its acquisition of Bitnine, a Kosdaq-listed database technology company. The acquisition, achieved through a third-party allotment capital increase, positions Directors Company as the largest shareholder of Bitnine. The strategic purpose behind this acquisition is to bolster Directors Company's generative AI business. As part of the post-acquisition restructuring, Directors Company has appointed its Chief Financial Officer, Jegal Wan, as the new managing director of Bitnine. The company's focus will now be on financial restructuring and new business ventures. Bitnine is known for its AgensGraph hybrid database technology, which integrates relational and graph database systems. Directors Company intends to utilize this technology to enhance its generative AI tools, aiming for advancements in data-driven advertising and expansion into e-commerce and digital marketing. This follows an earlier acquisition of Skaiworks, an AI firm notable for its ability to generate photorealistic video ads. The CEO of Directors Company, Shin Jae-hyuk, emphasizes that this acquisition not only represents a technological alliance but also highlights the commercial potential of AI technologies.
