DeepRoute.ai Secures $100 Million in Series C1 Funding from Chinese Automotive Giant

DeepRoute.ai, an artificial intelligence company based in Shenzhen, China, has announced a major strategic investment as part of its Series C1 funding round, securing $100 million from a prestigious Chinese automotive original equipment manufacturer (OEM). This funding round aims to enhance DeepRoute.ai's research and development efforts, particularly focusing on the company's end-to-end smart driving model, DeepRoute IO, and to support their strategy of expanding global automaker collaborations and exploring future opportunities in the robotaxi sector. Since August, DeepRoute.ai has already delivered approximately 20,000 vehicles integrated with DeepRoute IO to customers and plans further expansion with more than 10 additional series models expected to release in collaboration with selected OEMs next year. The funding will also support recruitment efforts to bring more AI-native talent into the company. The company has highlighted its commitment to achieving full autonomy capability in smart driving, bolstered by its proprietary end-to-end technology, which could enable scalable and cost-effective robotaxi services globally. DeepRoute.ai, founded in 2019, has been a pioneer in mapfree technology which allows navigation without high-definition maps, and its advancements position it as a significant player in the AI and smart driving sector.
