Dashen Bank Partners with Accion and Mastercard to Empower Ethiopian MSMEs

Dashen Bank, a leading private bank in Ethiopia, has formed a partnership with Accion and the Mastercard Center for Inclusive Growth to enhance digital financial services for micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) in Ethiopia, with a special focus on women-led businesses. This initiative addresses the significant financing gap faced by Ethiopian MSMEs, which are crucial to the economy but largely underserved by formal credit institutions. Through the collaboration, an innovation hub will be developed to create tailored digital solutions to empower these businesses, utilizing AI for new data-driven credit scoring models. The hub is a strategic part of Dashen Bank's plans to leverage technology for economic development and inclusion.
