Damac’s EDGNEX Expands into the Nordics with Hyperco Acquisition

Damac’s EDGNEX Data Centers, a subsidiary of the prominent Dubai-based real estate developer Damac, has acquired Hyperco, a Finnish data center company. This acquisition marks an expansion of EDGNEX's operations across Europe, particularly Northern Europe, taking advantage of the Nordic region's sustainable energy resources and established digital infrastructures. Although the financial details of the acquisition were not disclosed, the strategic move aligns with EDGNEX's global plans to deliver extensive data capacity, such as its targets of 55 MW in the Middle East by 2025 and a global projection surpassing 3,000 MW. The Hyperco acquisition allows EDGNEX to leverage Hyperco's expertise and infrastructure, while retaining its founding and operational team to manage ongoing operations. Alongside its Nordic expansion, EDGNEX has ongoing projects in Europe, including ventures in Greece and Spain, and earlier announced significant investments in the United States.
