CRH Acquires Kufner Group's Stone Materials Business in Croatia

CRH, a leading NYSE-listed building materials company, has expanded its operations by acquiring the stone materials production business of Croatia's Kufner Group. Schoenherr advised CRH, while Madirazza & Partners represented Kufner Group. CRH, known as the largest producer of building materials in the US and Europe, reported significant earnings of USD 6.9 billion in EBITDA on USD 35.6 billion in revenue for 2024. The Kufner Group, founded and operating in Zagreb with over 320 employees, reported EUR 13 million in EBITDA on EUR 44 million in revenue for the same year. This acquisition includes four high-capacity quarries located in eastern and central Croatia with a combined annual production capacity of over 3.8 million tons.
