Contship Expands with Acquisition of STS S.r.l.

Contship Italia Group, a leading operator in the logistics and intermodal sector, has successfully acquired STS S.r.l., a Genoa-based company specializing in customs brokerage and consultancy. This acquisition also includes the full acquisition of STS's subsidiaries, Spc and Oliaro, and marks a strategic step in Contship's ongoing expansion and vertical integration efforts. The deal represents a significant enhancement to Contship's logistical offerings, which span terminal management, intermodal transportation, and now extensive customs consultancy services. De Berti Jacchia law firm, with partners Giuseppina Zoccali and Rachele Maggi, along with Tiziana Zona, assisted Contship legally in this transaction, collaborating closely with Contship's internal legal team led by Martina Pivetti, the Legal Affairs & Compliance Director. Through this acquisition, Contship is set to substantially widen its portfolio of integrated customs solutions, including assistance and consultancy on national, European, and CBAM customs regulations, AEO services, operational management of import/export procedures, and customs audits.
