This round was led by Reach Capital with additional participation from Acrew Capital, Kaszek Ventures, Homebrew, and Latitud Ventures. The newly secured funds will enable Cometa to diversify its offerings beyond collections management to include new tools designed to maximize school revenues and deliver additional products as part of its holistic solution suite. Since its inception, Cometa has expanded significantly, and its platform has proven effective in reducing tuition payment defaults by 52%, with many institutions nearing zero payment failures. Cometa aims to address the growing demand for private education across Latin America, where public education systems often fail to meet the needs of middle-class families. The company's mission is to automate billing, payments, and administrative workflows, allowing schools to reinvest in quality education at lower costs. Cometa, founded in 2022 by Valeria Tapia, Mateo Creamer, Gonzalo Gallardo, and Andrés Benavides, continues to scale and solidify its position as an essential tool for Latin American school leaders, poised to become a central pillar in the region's educational landscape.
