Colabor Group Inc. Completes Strategic Asset Acquisition from Alimplus

Colabor Group Inc. announced the completion of its acquisition of certain food distribution assets from Alimplus Inc., operating under the name Mayrand Plus, for a total of $49.75 million. This acquisition, originally announced on February 19, also includes the acquisition of all issued and outstanding shares of Tout-Prêt Inc., a subsidiary specializing in cut fruits and vegetables. The deal excludes the four stores of Groupe Mayrand Alimentation inc., although Colabor has secured a distribution agreement with them for six years. The acquired assets and the distribution agreement would contribute approximately $225 million in sales, based on figures ending December 2024. Simultaneously, Colabor has amended its senior secured credit facility, extending its maturity to June 2029 with a value of $91.75 million, and secured additional financing through Investissement Québec, including $15 million in new subordinated debt. Colabor, serving the HRI market and retail sector in Quebec and the Atlantic provinces, aims to realize synergies from this acquisition while managing the associated risks.
