Coda, a global digital content monetization leader based in Singapore, has finalized its acquisition of Recharge, Europe's preeminent prepaid payments platform headquartered in Amsterdam. The acquisition was backed by Apis Partners LLP, alongside other investors such as Insight Partners and Smash Capital. By combining forces, Coda and Recharge aim to become a single trusted partner in the digital content and prepaid product sector by leveraging their complementary strengths. Coda brings partnerships with leading digital content publishers like Electronic Arts and Riot Games, and extensive payment networks across Southeast Asia and growing markets, while Recharge contributes consumer brands such as Apple and Google, alongside an established prepaid product portfolio in Europe. The transaction merges their capabilities, boosting their reach and value for global partners and positioning the alliance for further market share and growth opportunities. Executives of both firms, Shane Happach of Coda and Günther Vogelpoel of Recharge, have expressed optimism about the potential value and growth the merger will facilitate.
