Cloud Capital Secures $7.7m in Funding to Revolutionize Cloud Finance Management

Cloud Capital, a start-up aiming to transform the management of cloud financial spend, has successfully raised $7.7 million in its latest funding round. This financial support is courtesy of venture capitalists including Connect Ventures, Backed Ventures, and Middlegame Ventures. The newly acquired capital will be channeled into developing their fintech platform focused on optimizing cloud spend management for finance teams. The firm’s unique platform is set to aid companies in forecasting usage, enhancing savings, and mitigating financial risks associated with long-term cloud commitments. Founded by Edward Barrow, Spencer Pingry, and Zack Liscio, who together have extensive experience managing over $500 million in cloud costs, Cloud Capital is positioned to redefine cloud infrastructure—a sector perceived as underdeveloped in tech. The firm aims to provide CFOs with better control over cloud expenses, which form a significant percentage of P&L, especially as AI workloads surge. Previously, Cloud Capital raised a pre-seed $2.3 million round and, subsequently, a $5.4 million seed round.
