CleanCapital, an independent power producer in the U.S. clean energy market, recently acquired a 64-project, 51.2 megawatt solar and energy storage portfolio from Greenbacker. This acquisition is notable for its size and scope, expanding CleanCapital's portfolio to include over 350 operating and under-construction solar and storage assets. The portfolio, which covers 13 U.S. states, includes diverse rooftop and ground-mounted systems and services a range of municipal, university, school, hospital (MUSH) entities as well as commercial clients. This deal underscores CleanCapital's strategy of investing in distributed generation assets, which they believe are critical for meeting rising energy demands while also supporting local economies and reducing emissions.
