ClariMed Acquires We Are Human, Expanding Southeast U.S. Presence

ClariMed Inc., a leader in human-centered medical device development and regulatory approval, has announced its strategic acquisition of We Are Human, a U.K. and U.S.-based consulting firm focused on user-centered design and research in MedTech innovations. This acquisition not only expands ClariMed’s geographic footprint in the southeastern U.S. through We Are Human’s state-of-the-art Atlanta facility but also strengthens its mission to develop innovative, people-oriented medical technologies. Annmarie Nicolson, founder of We Are Human, joins ClariMed as a Principal, bringing substantial expertise in early formative research, contextual investigation, and UX research in MedTech innovations. ClariMed's CEO, Kelley Kendle, highlighted the acquisition as a synergy of skills and values, emphasizing their commitment to improving patient safety and usability in medical devices. With this deal, ClariMed will utilize We Are Human’s expertise in ISO 13485 certification and experience with IEC-62366 and FDA guidelines, enhancing its offerings in user experience research, regulatory compliance, and design validation. The acquisition is part of ClariMed’s growth strategy to offer comprehensive, human-centered solutions and to support MedTech manufacturers in accelerating market entry while enhancing safety and user-friendliness.
