Chimne Faurant Joins Orrick’s Paris Antitrust Team

Orrick has strengthened its Antitrust & Competition practice in Paris by appointing Chimne Faurant as a partner. Faurant, who joins from De Pardieu Brocas Maffei and has prior experience at Clifford Chance Paris, brings extensive expertise in EU State Aid law, foreign subsidies regulation, and competition issues related to mergers & acquisitions. Her appointment is aligned with Orrick's strategy to enhance competition regulation services in the tech and energy & infrastructure sectors. This move follows the recent addition of Bruno Romagnoli, who focuses on M&A transactions in the tech and E&I sectors. The Paris team has been active recently, advising on substantial transactions such as the sale of Atlandes by AXA IM Alts and Predica to Abertis, and the Series F financing of Alan among others. Orrick aims to continue its strategic growth in the Antitrust space, having made several global hires over the past year including Victoria Newbold in London and Eric Hochstadt in New York.
