Caswells Group Expands with Acquisition of Cutler Cleaning

Teesside-based Caswells Group, a prominent supplier of personal protective equipment, workwear, cleaning goods, and lubricants, has announced its acquisition of Cutler Cleaning, located in Macclesfield. The transaction, valued at £1.6 million, signifies a strategic expansion for Caswells Group and marks a new chapter in its growth trajectory. Cutler Cleaning is well-regarded in the market for its supply of protective equipment, janitorial, and catering ranges from its expansive 14,000 square-foot site in Cheshire. This deal is built on the solid business relationship the two firms have cultivated over a decade as part of the Jangro Group, fostering similar business ethos and complementary skill sets. Given this backdrop, the acquisition ensures both business continuity and staff retention for Cutler Cleaning, with the securement of its 25 employees. Paul Murphy, Commercial Director at Caswells, emphasized the potential for further growth following the acquisition. Meanwhile, Paul Whitehead, the former Managing Director of Cutler Cleaning, expressed his satisfaction about the acquisition, noting his wish to secure a future for his employees and customers upon his retirement.
