Castlelake Backs TradeBridge with £70m Financing Facility
Deal News | Apr 30, 2025 | Castlelake LP
Castlelake, L.P., a global alternative investment manager specialized in asset-based private credit, has entered an agreement to provide TradeBridge with a new financing facility of up to £70 million. This additional capital aims to enhance TradeBridge's support for B2B and B2C eCommerce marketplace clients, including UK Amazon sellers, leveraging a new strategic partnership with Amazon. Previously, in 2023, Castlelake supplied £100 million to TradeBridge to aid revenue-based financing solutions for UK and Australian pharmacies and dental practices. Alex Curcio of Castlelake emphasized the significance of innovative financing solutions for SMEs, noting the role of traditional capital's retrenchment. TradeBridge's Mark Coxhead highlighted the instrumental nature of its partnership with Castlelake in expanding credit access. Castlelake, managing around $25 billion, has been involved in acquiring assets and providing credit since 2015, with over $15 billion invested in asset-based opportunities. TradeBridge, since its inception over a decade ago, has extended more than £5 billion in capital to SMEs globally.
