Capria Ventures to raise $100 million for India Fund III
Funding | Dec 24, 2024 | Capria Ventures LLC

Global South specialist venture capital firm Capria Ventures has announced the launch of its Capria India Fund III, which aims to raise $100 million with a potential greenshoe option of up to $125 million. The fund will focus on investing in 25-30 startups at the seed and pre-Series A stages across various sectors such as HRtech, fintech, SaaS and climate. It targets growing the Indian middle class by focusing on sectors that enhance productivity and technology adoption. Capria Ventures will also dedicate 25% of the fund to late-stage investment opportunities in its existing portfolio, offering early exits to LPs. Despite healthy TVPIs (Total Value to Paid-In capital), the venture landscape in India has struggled with providing early exits; this fund aims to address that by delivering high IRRs (Internal Rate of Return) to investors. Participation in the fund is expected from both Indian and global investors.
