CapMan leads renovation of Finland's historic Hotel Laajavuori

CapMan Real Estate, in partnership with Scandic, is embarking on a significant renovation of the historic Hotel Laajavuori in Jyväskylä, Finland. The project aims to modernize the facilities, enhance energy efficiency, and integrate a large-scale geothermal heating system designed by LeaseGreen, with financial support from Heatly. The renovation will not only preserve the hotel's iconic brutalist architectural style but also transform it into a more environmentally friendly and energy-efficient establishment. The geothermal project alone will cover the hotel's annual heating needs and contribute to reducing its energy consumption by 1,500 MWh yearly, improving its energy efficiency rating from E to B. Additionally, all hotel rooms and public spaces will be refurbished, increasing the room count from 196 to 198. The hotel is part of the CapMan Hotels II fund portfolio, and the renovation project will serve diverse clientele, from family travellers and business guests to locals. This initiative is part of CapMan's broader commitment to sustainable investment and value creation within its portfolio.
