Bureau Veritas to Acquire The APP Group

Bureau Veritas, a global leader in testing, inspection, and certification services, has signed an agreement to acquire The APP Group, a prominent provider of assurance, compliance, independent verification and certification, and project management services in Australia, for strategic expansion in the Asia-Pacific region. This acquisition by Bureau Veritas aligns with its LEAP | 28 strategy to diversify its portfolio and invest in attractive regional markets, significantly enhancing its position in the Buildings and Infrastructure sector. The APP Group, with over 35 years of experience and a strong foothold in transport infrastructure and facilities management, brings a workforce of over 500, serving a vast array of government and corporate clients across Australia. Bureau Veritas plans to integrate The APP Group's capabilities to offer more comprehensive solutions throughout the asset lifecycle to clients, reinforcing its leadership and expanding its service range across the Asia-Pacific market. The transaction is expected to close by the end of the year, pending regulatory approvals.
