Bureau Veritas Seals Strategic Acquisition of APP Group

Bureau Veritas, a global leader in testing, inspection, and certification (TIC), has signed an agreement to acquire APP Group, a prominent independent verification and certification service provider in Australia. APP Group specializes in management project assistance and construction supervision throughout the lifecycle of assets in the building and infrastructure sector. This acquisition is part of Bureau Veritas' LEAP | 28 strategy aimed at expanding its footprint in the Asia-Pacific region and enhancing its Infrastructure and Building (B&I) capabilities. Bureau Veritas' solutions cover everything from feasibility studies to asset operation, working towards safer, more sustainable, and resilient buildings and infrastructures. The APP Group, headquartered in Sydney, Australia, has 35 years of experience and offers services in sectors like transport infrastructure and social community projects, generating revenues of 87 million euros in 2023. The acquisition stands to provide Bureau Veritas a firm foothold to widen its Asia-Pacific services and give APP access to Bureau Veritas' extensive global resources. Finalization is pending regulatory approval anticipated by the end of the year.
