Bureau Veritas Finalizes APP Group Acquisition, Strengthens Asia-Pacific Infrastructure Leadership

Bureau Veritas, a global leader in testing, inspection, and certification, has completed the acquisition of APP Group, an Australian leader in real estate and infrastructure, as announced in November 2024. Based in Sydney, APP Group achieved a revenue of 87 million euros in 2023. This acquisition is part of Bureau Veritas' LEAP | 28 strategy, aimed at enhancing its leadership in buildings and infrastructure by diversifying its portfolio and investing in attractive regional markets. The acquisition will strengthen Bureau Veritas' B&I capabilities by providing asset owners with significant project management expertise, construction management, verification, and independent certification, leveraging regional scale. Hinda Gharbi, the CEO of Bureau Veritas, stated that the acquisition marks a major step in executing the LEAP | 28 strategy and provides a strong platform for growth in the Asia-Pacific B&I services market. Bureau Veritas, founded in 1828, employs 83,000 staff in 140 countries and is listed on Euronext Paris. APP Group, with a team of over 500, offers integrated services throughout the capital investment lifecycle in key sectors like transportation and defense in Australia.
