Bureau Veritas Expands in Chile with GeoAssay Acquisition

Bureau Veritas, a global leader in Testing, Inspection, and Certification services, has announced its acquisition of GeoAssay, a move that solidifies its position as a primary player in the Chilean copper market. This acquisition allows Bureau Veritas to integrate GeoAssay's state-of-the-art laboratories and a skilled workforce of 264 employees. These facilities, located strategically in Chile, will enable Bureau Veritas to provide faster, more accurate testing results, thus enhancing its services in the copper sector. The acquisition supports Bureau Veritas' LEAP | 28 strategy, which focuses on innovation and customer satisfaction in key markets. GeoAssay specializes in copper, a mineral crucial for energy transition, and operates three laboratories with expertise in robotics and automation. The transaction is expected to enhance the Bureau Veritas customer portfolio by offering improved precision, traceability, and turnaround times for mineral analysis. Feliciano Herrera, CEO of GeoAssay, expressed confidence in the growth potential brought by the integration with Bureau Veritas' capabilities.
