Brown & Brown Completes RSC Topco Acquisition

Brown & Brown, a major player in the insurance brokerage and risk management sector, has finalized the acquisition of RSC Topco, Inc., the parent company of Accession Risk Management Group. The transaction, which originally announced in June 2025, involved a substantial gross purchase price of $9.825 billion. Accession Risk Management Group, through its subsidiaries Risk Strategies and One80 Intermediaries, operates as a specialty brokerage firm and an insurance wholesaler, respectively. With the completion of the acquisition, Brown & Brown plans to integrate its Programs and Wholesale Brokerage into a new Specialty Distribution segment, led by Steve Boyd and Chris Walker. John Mina is set to join the Retail senior leadership team, while Matt Power will join the newly formed Specialty Distribution leadership. This strategic acquisition is expected to enhance Brown & Brown's global resources and specialty capabilities, aligning with its decentralised sales and service model.
