Brookfield Fortifies London's Skyline with Sustainable 99 Bishopsgate Project

Mishcon de Reya's construction team has successfully advised Brookfield Properties in obtaining approval from the City of London's Planning Committee for a new 54-storey office tower at 99 Bishopsgate. This project is set to add over 1 million sq ft of top-tier office space and 60,000 sq ft of public and cultural amenities, addressing 8.3% of the city's future office space needs by 2040. The development prioritises sustainability, featuring adaptive reuse, urban greening, and retention of existing foundations to minimize embodied carbon. These environmental initiatives reflect a broader industry trend towards ecological responsibility. Led by Justine Ayto, Mishcon's prominent Real Estate department facilitated the legal preparations, positioning Brookfield to enter the construction phase with a commitment to community enrichment and environmental stewardship.
